Ronice open hopper screw pumps convey heavy-duty viscous to semi-solid mediums with low or no flowability, such as dried sludge, paste, butter, slurry, etc.
 
This transfer pump consists of a feed hopper (an enlarged rectangular inlet) with a screw conveyor (auger feed) in order to optimally feed the product into the pumping element, consistently and smoothly, prevent the accumulation of materials at the inlet, improve the volumetric efficiency.
 
The pitch and diameter of the screw conveyor, construction materials of pumps and parts, sealing options, anti-dry running protection device, can be tailored for different media and industries, allowing optimal design for different applications.
 
Wide throat pumps can also be designed with bridge breaker at the top for handling extremely difficult media with very high solid content and non-flowable properties.

6.  Chopper Hopper,
a combined solids reduction and transfer pumping unit,  save energy and complete efficient transfer.
It can homogenize objects such as whole fruits, vegetables, and meat products into a pumpable puree. Fierce cutting blades combined with second- and third-stage grinding shred solids as big as whole watermelons down to a particle size of less than 1 in. in a single pass. The design of this progressing cavity pump allows for low friction of the gear joint design, leading to less wear and better overall performance.

Design:
The design of a progressive cavity pump is engineered to provide efficient fluid transfer, handle various viscosity, and accommodate challenging fluids with suspended solids or abrasive materials.

Operation: 
Ronice progressive cavity pumps are the type of positive displacement pumps that employs an assembly of a single-helical steel rotor and a double-helical resilient stator. Eccentric rotation of the rotor inside the stator forms fixed-size sealed cavities that move along the assembly creating pressure. The diameter and the eccentricity of the rotor are responsible for the capacity of the pump when the pitch of the rotor is responsible for the potential pressure.
